Mission Statement

Connecting all generations to Jesus
as we stand for the Truth of the Gospel,
show God’s grace to all people,
and raise up the next generation to do the same.

Our Values

These four values support our mission and help us learn and grow together:

Worship: Regular Gathering

As worshipers, we commit to coming together consistently to offer praise and thanksgiving to our Lord and Savior and acknowledge the importance of doing so collectively.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another….

Hebrews 10:24-25

Connect: Biblical Community

Growing in our faith is best done in the context of community; a place to be known and link arms with other Christ-followers with whom we can do life.

Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 3:18

Serve: Active Involvement

Each of us has been given special talents and abilities we use together to bless our church, our community, and our world.

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

I Cor. 12:7

Give: Generous Investment

As believers, we humbly acknowledge that everything we have is the Lord’s.  We cheerfully give back to Him as a response for all He has done.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth…store up for yourselves treasures in heaven…For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Matt 6:19-21

WHY A CAIRN?
WHY A CAIRN?

On a hike, you’re likely to see a cairn once in a while—a pile of stones to mark the trail and keep you headed in the right direction. (You’ll notice this imagery in the cross in our logo.) A cairn is intentionally left by someone that has walked a little farther down the road that wants people behind them to know the right way to take. We embody this at Rockland as we have a deep desire to see the next generation know the path that God has for them, as marked out by godly men and women that have walked the path already.
